What’s your background and training?

My path to becoming a counsellor, therapist, and space holder began with my own journey of self-exploration and healing. Engaging with supportive, affirming spaces helped me connect more deeply with myself and the world around me. My personal practices include therapy, earth-based spirituality as a priestess, Eastern traditions such as yoga and meditation, somatic work, pranayama (breath work), and taking a neuroscience-informed approach to supporting my nervous system.

As for my training and credentials, I am a BACP-accredited counsellor and therapist, a certified meditation teacher, and I hold training in somatics, yoga, coaching, and nature-based and eco therapy. My ongoing professional development includes learning around working with LGBTQ+ clients and communities, neurodivergent clients and communities, trauma, energy psychotherapy, anti-oppression education and pagan priestess initiation as a space holder. I am supported in my work by my clinical supervisors and my spiritual teachers.

While formal credentials support ethical practice, I also recognise that many healing traditions originate from indigenous cultures. Western accreditation often appropriates these practices, stripping them of their cultural and spiritual depth. I am committed to honouring my teachers, lineages, and the roots of the practices I engage with by acknowledging their origins and approaching this work with respect, humility, and accountability.

What are your values?

That’s a great and important question. My work has consistently been guided by my core values and it’s always been a priority for me to engage in work and work in a way that feels meaningful and aligned with my principles. I’m committed to justice, fairness, and equity, and I continually strive to decolonise my approach to mental health, therapy, healing, and wellbeing. You can read more about my values here.

OUTSIDE OF THE HEALING SPACE, WHAT ARE YOU LIKE AS A HUMAN?

Outside of the therapy room (and often inside of it!) I value joy and lightheartedness. I love spending time in nature and can often be found wild swimming in lakes and rivers or hiking, I love to dance, I love music and I’m currently doing a fairly mediocre job of learning the ukulele, I’m a fan of brutalist architecture and I’m pretty good with a camera having formally been a professional photographer.
