I’m Laura (she / her)

Thank you for visiting this space, where I’m sharing information about online counselling and therapy. I offer integrative therapy that’s trauma-informed and identity-affirming.

If you’re looking for in-person therapy, you can find more details here, for nature-based counselling head here and for group nature and spirituality work head here

Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you’re continuing your journey, I’m glad you’re here. I understand the courage it takes to face our struggles and reflect on the experiences that have shaped us.

My own journey began as a therapy client, and having a safe, affirming space to work through my challenges was incredibly impactful. I’ve also experienced mental health support that didn’t feel safe or supportive, which is why the space I offer is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, disability-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, anti-racist and fat-positive. Whether you’re looking for support with a specific issue or hoping to understand yourself and your experiences, I provide a collaborative and compassionate space where you can feel supported.

My approach blends practical tools with exploration, so that what we work on in session can be applied meaningfully in your everyday life. This includes supporting you to understand your body and nervous system, alongside talk therapy approaches that help you process and understand your experiences.

I work with a range of modalities, including psychodynamic, gestalt, humanistic, acceptance and commitment therapy, neuroscience and somatic trauma therapy. In addition, I’m a licensed meditation teacher and nature therapist.

For those accessing online therapy, I offer fully remote sessions that maintain the same level of safety, confidentiality and attunement as in-person work. Online therapy can be particularly flexible for those balancing busy schedules, managing mobility or health considerations, or living in a different geographical location, while still providing a deeply supportive and embodied space for growth and reflection.

You can find out more about my approach as a therapist here.

“After multiple attempts of therapy, Laura is the first person who has made me feel seen, understood, and valued. She shows real humanity and compassion, bringing a wealth of knowledge and skills yet without pushing an agenda. I have been supported by her through some life-changing epiphanies as well as some challenging lows. She is particularly capable with helping to manage triggers and overwhelming feelings which means it feels finally safe to talk to her about some of the heavier things I’ve been carrying. As someone who has worked in mental health for around 8 years myself, I can say that I wholeheartedly believe the mental health system would be better off if we had more Lauras in them”
