About Me

an image of laura, a woman with brown hair, smiling at the camera. Laura is the guide for this nature ritual circle.

I’m Laura, an integrative therapeutic counsellor, somatic trauma therapist, and practitioner of nature-based connection work.

I’ve also been initiated as a pagan priestess, although I tend to describe myself more simply as someone who holds safe, supportive space for others.

My approach weaves together some or all of the following, depending on the offering: psychotherapy, embodied somatic practices, social connection, and earth-centred spirituality.

You can explore my FAQs to find out a bit more about me and my values.

If you’re not local to Birmingham, you might like my Somatic Journeys offering; a series of guided seasonal practices designed to be experienced from home.

  • “I attended a session with Laura and I just want to say how incredibly nourishing it was. Laura’s offerings are a blend of her meditation, counselling & nature trainings, whilst honouring culture & diversity. You can tell that Laura is deeply committed to this work and way of living. It’s always nerve wracking going into group sessions but Laura made everyone feel at ease. Spaces like this always remind me how important it is to gather in groups, to be connected and to put devices away for a few hours. Thank you Laura!” - Sophie

  • “I just wanted to tell you that this offering was so lovely. I am navigating some challenging times and this really helped today. I’m not typically very good at slowing down and being intentional and I loved that everything was an invitation “you may wish to…”, “you could…”. It felt very relatable. I know when you put so much heart and soul into something it’s always nice to know when it’s had an impact, so thank you” - Amy

Join me, and artist Clare Hewitt, at The MAC, for this session which is part of Healing Arts Birmingham, a city-wide programme exploring how the arts support health, wellbeing and social equity.

We’ll start with a guided tour of Clare Hewitt’s exhibition Everything in the forest is the forest, which highlights the ways trees nurture, communicate and sustain life.

We’ll then move into Cannon Hill Park for a guided nature-connection session, where we’ll spend time with the trees and explore what it means to be in relationship with the more-than-human world.

Through gentle eco-somatic and nature-therapy practices, we’ll explore interconnection, reciprocity and grounding within natural ecosystems, alongside opportunities for reflection and shared dialogue.
