Slow Social is a facilitated gathering designed to help you make meaningful new connections in a way that feels more intentional, supported, and accessible. Think speed dating, but slower, and focused on friendship, community, and connection.
We'll move through a series of structured conversations, with thoughtful prompts and questions, exploring topics that matter, alongside a handful of lighter questions to keep things balanced. Whether you're looking to expand your social circle, find like-minded people, or simply experience a different kind of social event, Slow Social offers a supportive and inclusive space to connect.
We’re taking August’s Social outside for a picnic. Bring blankets or a chair, food to share, and anything you need to enjoy a summer evening in South Birmingham. Accessibility: our social will take place just off one of the park’s main paths in a spot with shade available. Paths are wheelchair accessible. We’ll have a trolly to transport items from the carpark.
You’ll receive an email before the event asking about any additional accessibility needs.
